Terms of Use

These terms cover the CueMotion app for Mac, CueMotion Pro licences and the cuemotion.app website. By downloading or using CueMotion, you agree to them. If you're using it for a company, you agree on its behalf.

1. Who we are

CueMotion is made and provided by:

Purchases are processed by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe acts as the seller of record for the transaction: it charges you, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues your receipt. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment; these terms apply to CueMotion and your licence.

2. CueMotion Free

CueMotion is free to download and use, with every feature. Videos exported without a Pro licence carry a small "Made with CueMotion" mark. You may use CueMotion Free for personal and commercial work.

3. CueMotion Pro licence

A Pro licence is a one-time purchase (currently $49 USD at launch, before tax). It gives you:

  • Exports without the watermark.
  • Use on up to 3 Macs that you own or use. You can free a Mac at any time in CueMotion › Settings › Licence and use the licence on another one.
  • Every update released within one year of your purchase. You keep using the versions released in that year forever; later versions work as CueMotion Free unless you renew.

The licence is personal: it's for you (or, if a company bought it, for one person at that company). You may not share, sell or publish your licence key, and you may not transfer it without our written agreement.

Pro is activated online: CueMotion checks your licence with our server when you activate it and about once a week afterwards. If your Mac is offline, Pro keeps working for up to 30 days. See the Privacy Policyfor exactly what that check sends.

We may revoke a licence that was refunded, charged back or disputed, obtained fraudulently, or used in breach of these terms. A revoked licence stops unlocking Pro; CueMotion keeps working as CueMotion Free.

4. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. See theRefund Policy. A refund ends the licence on all your Macs.

5. Your coding agent and AI output

CueMotion doesn't include or resell an AI model. It runs a coding agent that you install and sign in to yourself (such as Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode). That agent, its provider and your account with them are governed by their own terms, and any usage costs are between you and them. When you work in CueMotion, your agent sends your prompts and the files it needs to its provider — CueMotion doesn't receive them.

Output generated with an agent can be wrong, similar to other works, or unsuitable. Review what you export, and make sure you have the rights to the material you use, including music, fonts, logos and anything imported from websites.

6. Your work

Your projects and videos are yours. They're stored as ordinary folders on your Mac, and we don't receive them. You're responsible for your content and for backing it up.

7. What you may not do

  • Remove, bypass or tamper with the licence checks or the watermark, or help others do so.
  • Share or publish licence keys, or run a licence on more Macs than it allows.
  • Reverse engineer CueMotion, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
  • Use CueMotion or the website to break the law or anyone's rights, or to disrupt our services.

8. Open source

CueMotion includes open-source components, each under its own licence, listed on theOpen source page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.

9. Updates and changes

CueMotion checks for updates and offers to install them. We may change or discontinue features in future versions; the versions you're entitled to keep working as they are. We may update these terms; the version at cuemotion.app/terms applies, and material changes will be announced on the website before they take effect.

10. Warranty and liability

CueMotion is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free or fit a particular purpose, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim.

If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep every right the law gives you — including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content — and nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer law of your country and bring a claim in its courts. Before anything formal, please write to us — most things are solved quickly by email. You can also contact your national consumer authority.
