Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026
The short version. Your projects, prompts and videos stay on your Mac. We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. For Pro, we keep the least we can: your email only as a scrambled fingerprint, your Macs only as anonymous fingerprints and their model. We never sell or share data for marketing.
Who is responsible

The app
Your work stays on your Mac
Projects, videos, music and art direction are ordinary files on your Mac. CueMotion doesn't upload them and we never receive them.
Your coding agent
CueMotion runs the coding agent you chose (for example Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode). When you ask it for something, the agent sends your prompt and the files it needs to its own provider, under that provider's privacy policy and your account with them. That traffic goes from your Mac to the provider; it doesn't pass through us.
Importing art direction from a website
Your Mac loads the page you enter and reads it locally. We don't see which sites you import.
Updates
CueMotion checks downloads.cuemotion.app for new versions. Like any web request, it reaches our host, Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver it. The check doesn't include anything about you or your projects.
No telemetry
CueMotion doesn't send usage analytics or crash reports.
Buying Pro
Payment happens on Stripe's checkout. Stripe collects your payment details, email and billing country to charge you, calculate tax and send your receipt, as seller of record underStripe's Privacy Policy. We never see your card.
From Stripe we receive the purchase (its id, amount, currency and country) and your email. With them we:
- Create your licence and email you the key.
- Keep a licence record that holds no plain email: only a keyed, one-way hash of it (so you can recover your key and we can find your licence when you contact us) and a masked version such as
c••••••g@gmail.com. - Don't store your key. It's re-created from the record when you ask for it with your email.
When you're refunded, we ask Stripe for your email at that moment to send the refund confirmation, and don't keep it. Sales statistics (revenue, countries, conversion) are read from Stripe when we look at them; we don't copy them.
Activating Pro on your Macs
When you activate Pro, and about once a week after that, CueMotion sends our licence server:
- Your licence key.
- An anonymous fingerprint of the Mac: a salted one-way hash of its hardware id, which can't be turned back into the id or linked to the Mac elsewhere.
- The Mac's hardware model, such as
Mac15,3— never its name.
We store those with the day of activation and the day of the last check, to apply the 3-Mac limit, show you your Macs in Settings, and stop Pro after a refund. We don't store IP addresses.
The website
cuemotion.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The "Download for Mac" button adds one to a daily download count — a number, with nothing about who downloaded. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes IP addresses to serve it and protect it from abuse.
Emails
We email you only about your licence: the key after buying, invitations, key recovery when you ask, and refund confirmations. No newsletters or marketing unless you opt in separately. Emails are sent through Resend.
Why we may use this data
- To provide what you bought (contract): issuing, activating and recovering licences, and the 3-Mac limit.
- Legal obligations: keeping purchase records for tax and accounting (Stripe holds these as seller of record).
- Legitimate interests: preventing licence abuse and fraud, securing our systems, and understanding sales in aggregate.

Who processes it for us
- Stripe — payments, as seller of record.
- Cloudflare — website, licence server, storage and downloads.
- Resend — licence emails.
Some of them process data outside the EU. Where they do, they rely on the EU's adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable form. Write to hello@cuemotion.app from the email you bought with. Deleting your licence record ends the licence. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in Spain, theAEPD.
Children
CueMotion isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on the website before the change applies.
